Who is eligible for Full Mouth Dental All-On-4 Treatment

Most people are all qualifying candidates for the All-on-4 treatment. In order to determine your eligibility, patients will need to schedule a complimentary consultation with our dental office, Lei Luo DDS. We want to have a full understanding of your dental and health history to determine whether you are the right candidate for this procedure. With the All-on-4 treatment, it can help replace full arches of missing teeth with simply just four dental implants. It is one of the best solution that patient can have while minimizing their cost and restoring the necessity function. 

Prior Preparation

Before the surgical procedures, the dental care provider will need to plan out the process with the patients by taking the CT scans, dental radio-graphs, and impressions. Once all the information are obtained, it will be send to the designated local dental lab to create the temporary customized dentures. 

Besides the dental preparation, it is important for patients to receive good self care such as receiving good night sleep and nutritious meals. As the surgery time can be time consuming, we want to make sure that patients are in their best self to receive the best care.

What to expect on the day of surgery?

On the day of the surgeryany necessary extractions will be extracted along with four immediate dental implant placement. The temporary set of the customized denture will remain in the mouth throughout the healing process which will be attached to the dental implants. To ensure there are no movements of disruption to the implants and bones, the patients is required to follow the post surgical recovery to ensure successful results.

Post Surgical Recovery Care

  • Rest at home and take it easy after the first 72 hours of the surgery
  • Please refrain from pulling on your lips or cheeks to inspect the surgical sites. This action could tear your sutures or delay healing.
  • Take your prescribed medications as directed.
  • It is extremely important to be on a soft diet for the first 2 months of healing. During this time your implants are integrating, and you’re wearing a temporary prosthesis that is not meant to be used to chew hard or crunchy foods.
  • Examples of Acceptable Foods:
    • Acceptable foods are soft and easy to chew and swallow. These foods may be chopped, ground, mashed or pureed. This diet should be followed for the first 3 months after your surgery.
      Fruits/Vegetables:
      • Apple Sauce
      • Cooked fruits or ripe fruits
      • Canned fruits without skin or seeds
      • Well-cooked soft veggies
      Meats And Other Protein Sources (Blended):
      • Broiled Fish
      • Roasted/Stewed Chicken
      • Soups with small soft pieces of vegetables and meat
      • Tofu
      Breads/Pasta/Rice:
      • Soft Loaf Bread
      • Pancakes
      • Muffins
      • Waffles
      • Macaroni/Pasta/Rice Pasta
      • Oat Meal/Cooked Cereal/Cream of Wheat
      • Mashed Potatoes
      Other:
      • Pudding/ Jell-O/ Yogurt
